Kate Matteson (1971 - 2020) was an actor and crossover vocalist whose work spanned a variety of genres. She was a classically trained soprano who attended the Eastman School of Music, and she held a Ph.D. in human development.
As a New York-based musical theater actor, Kate performed the leading lady role of Magnolia in the Broadway tour of Show Boat in the U.S. and Canada. That production, under the guidance of legendary director Harold Prince, garnered five Tony Awards. Kate also toured nationally as leading lady Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes. read full bio
